Lead Student Volunteer Applications Close February 15

We have exciting news! The Lead Student Volunteer program is renaming itself “SCALE” (Students, Committee, Apprenticeship, Leadership, Experience) to more effectively reflect the valuable experience this opportunity represents.

Aroua Gharbi, a PhD candidate at Georgia Institute of Technology from Tunisia, shares her experience starting as a student volunteer at SC17 to becoming an SC21 committee member.

Gharbi was a lead student volunteer during SC20. She participated in keeping the calendar up to date and organized a panel on maintaining a healthy mindset in academia during COVID.

Gharbi believes that the most exciting aspects of the SCALE program are that students will be involved with the organization of the conference much earlier than in previous years, beginning in March, and they will benefit from leadership training programs which will prepare them for joining the SC Planning Committee in the future.

Applications close February 15. Apply today!
