SC21 TV Expands Previous Video Interviews From the SC News Desk

As thousands of high performance computing experts from all over the world prepare to gather in St. Louis in November, preparations are underway to tell some of their stories via video interviews on social media. SC21’s theme — “Science & Beyond” — is guiding the selection of topics and VIPs who will be interviewed prior to and during the St. Louis event.
Starting with SC18, more than two dozen live interviews were conducted from Dallas. At SC19 even more experts were interviewed in both live and pre-recorded formats in Denver. SC20’s virtual event shifted to remotely recorded interviews, but SC21’s interviews will combine the best elements of the previous conferences. That means some interviews will be pre-recorded remotely and live interviews will again be conducted from the exhibit hall.

This effort, called SC21 TV, also expands the previous SC News Desk interviews to include additional content from the exhibit hall. Topics will include how HPC contributed to the rapid development of COVID vaccines and how space exploration and climate change research rely on high performance networking, storage, and analysis. Conference leaders, Workshops, and the Student Cluster Competition will also be featured again this year.
As with previous videos, the content will be shared on the SC YouTube channel and on the SC Facebook page. We also welcome topic and guest suggestions from the readers of this blog. If you have a story idea you’d like us to tell prior to or during SC21, just contact SC21 Communications. Many thanks in advance.
