DESCRIPTION:Workshop\n\nSixth International Parallel Data Systems Workshop
 \n\nIbrahim, Sato, Zhou, Lofstead\n\nEfficient data storage and data manag
 ement are crucial to scientific productivity in both traditional simulatio
 n-oriented HPC environments and Big Data analysis environments. These issu
 es are further exacerbated by the growing volume of experimental and obser
 vational data, the widening gap between the performance of computational h
 ardware and storage hardware and the emergence of new data-driven algorith
 ms in machine learning. The goal of this workshop is to facilitate researc
 h that addresses the most critical challenges in scientific data storage a
 nd data processing.\n\nPDSW will continue to build on the successful tradi
 tion established by its predecessor workshops: the Petascale Data Storage 
 Workshop (PDSW, 2006-2015) and the Data Intensive Scalable Computing Syste
 ms (DISCS 2012-2015) workshop. These workshops were successfully combined 
 in 2016, and the resulting joint workshop has attracted up to 38 full pape
 r submissions and 140 attendees per year from 2016 to 2020.\n\nRegistratio
