SUMMARY:Heterogeneous Computing for Undergraduates: A Module-Driven Approa
 ch
DESCRIPTION:Posters, Research Posters\n\nHeterogeneous Computing for Under
 graduates: A Module-Driven Approach\n\nQasem, Bunde, Schielke\n\nTo achiev
e aggressive performance and power goals, HPC systems are becoming increas
ingly heterogeneous. This represents an educational challenge since few c
urrent curricula include much about heterogeneous computing except possibl
y in upper-division electives. This poster presents a set of modules to i
ntegrate heterogeneous computing concepts in an undergraduate computer sci
ence curriculum. We discuss coverage of topics, the design philosophy and
our experiences implementing the modules at different institutions. The mo
dules are being developed as part of an NSF-funded initiative to enhance t
he Advanced Cyberinfrastructure workforce. The poster also discusses the s
ynergistic activities undertaken in the broader project.\n\nRegistration C
