SUMMARY:Introducing Cloud-Native Supercomputing: Bare-Metal, Secured Super
 computing Architecture
DESCRIPTION:Birds of a Feather\n\nIntroducing Cloud-Native Supercomputing:
Bare-Metal, Secured Supercomputing Architecture\n\nShainer, Panda, Callej
a\n\nHigh-performance computing and artificial intelligence have evolved t
o be the primary data processing engines for wide commercial use, hosting
a variety of users and applications. While providing the highest performan
ce, supercomputers must also offer multi-tenancy security. Therefore they
need to be designed as cloud-native platforms. The key element that enable
s this architecture is the data processing unit (DPU). DPU is a fully inte
grated data-center-on-a-chip platform that can manage the data center oper
ating system instead of the host processor, enabling security and orchestr
ation of the supercomputer. This architecture enables supercomputing platf
orms to deliver bare-metal performance, while natively supporting multi-no
de tenant isolation.\n\nTag: Cloud and Distributed Computing, Security\n\n
