SUMMARY:Numerical weather prediction on AWS Graviton2
DESCRIPTION:Exhibitor Session\n\nNumerical weather prediction on AWS Gravi
 ton2\n\nKoop\n\nWith the release of Arm-based AWS Graviton2 instances, a c
ommon question among researchers and practitioners is how well these insta
nces perform on large-scale high performance computing (HPC) workloads. Nu
merical weather prediction (NWP) is a well-known HPC workload and is known
to be sensitive to many different HPC system components. This session pro
vides details on the AWS Graviton2 processor and Elastic Fabric Adapter (E
FA). It also shares benchmarking results from running NWP across three dif
ferent instance types to determine the performance that AWS Graviton2 prov
ides for HPC applications.\n\nTag: Online Only\n\nRegistration Category: T
