Yutaka Ishikawa was the project leader of the Fugaku development at RIKEN Center for Computation Science. He is currently a professor at NII (National Institute of Informatics). He received his PhD degree in electrical engineering from Keio University. From 1993 to 2001, he was the chief of Parallel and Distributed System Software Laboratory, Real World Computing Partnership. From 2002 to 2014, he was a professor at the University of Tokyo. He is a member of the IEEE Computer Society and the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM).
