Paul Carpenter is a senior Researcher in high-performance computing at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center, leading the Microservers and System Software team and principal Investigator for the EuroEXA, ExaNoDe and EUROSERVER projects. He has PhD in computer architecture from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya in 2011 related to stream programming model compilation, mapping, and scheduling. Prior to his PhD, he was Senior Software Engineer in ARM in Cambridge, and technical lead for audio and video codec development. He has a BA in mathematics (1996) and MA in computer science (1997), both from the University of Cambridge.
