Biography
Jakob is a researcher at Dr. Taufer's Global Computing Laboratory at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. His research focuses on the understanding and the optimization of Input/Output behavior of scientific workflows as well as their integration into adaptive self-tuning storage solutions. Jakob studied computer science at the University of Hamburg, Germany and has been working at the German Climate Computing Center (DKRZ) for many years within the ESiWACE project as well as an AI Consultant as part of Earth and Environment Group in the Helmholtz AI initiative.
