DescriptionX-ISS, a leader in Linux HPC Managed Services, is looking for a talented Linux administrator and analyst who is passionate about quality and about learning and implementing well-managed solutions. This position is responsible for successful delivery of X-ISS HPC managed services and projects to the marketplace with the highest levels of customer satisfaction. The solutions include projects, managed services and software products in the HPC ecosystem.

This is a hands on position and the job responsibilities include:
• Support various customer remotely on day-to-day issues
• Implement and manage new technology projects at customer sites
• Use ticketing system effectively to communicate and track issues
• Resolve L2/L3 type issues including HPC software stack components
• Resolve client HPC application usage issues
• Deploy and manage software on systems

RequirementsDesired Skills and Experience
• Linux and Networking skills and certifications
• HPC System support experience
• Demonstrated passion for customer service and quality
• Demonstrated ability to be effective in fast paced, dynamic environments including ability to learn new technologies and products deeply, quickly
• Strong team working and building skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication, documentation and interpersonal skills
• Excellent time, priority, task and resource planning skills
• Excellent server and network troubleshooting skills demonstrated in a large Linux environment
• Excellent server and network design skills in building reliable, manageable and scalable Linux environments
• Solid understanding of and experience with DNS, LDAP, NFS, Remote Access, performance analysis
• Solid understanding of routers and networking protocols and designs (TCP/IP, PXE, DHCP, SMTP, SNMP etc.)
• Shell Scripting background
• 4+ years successful experience in delivering technology services to external clients. The services include projects and ongoing support
• Bachelor’s degree required
