Naw Safrin Sattar
Biography
Naw Safrin Sattar is a Final year PhD student working in the Big Data and Scalable Computing Research Group under the supervision of Dr. Shaikh Arifuzzaman at the University of New Orleans. She also completed her Master’s in Computer Science from University of New Orleans in Spring 2019. Her research interests include Big Data Analytics, High Performance Computing, Parallel Algorithms, Graph Mining and Machine / Deep Learning. She is one of the 15 recipients of the Parallel Computing Summer Research Internship at Los Alamos National Laboratory in Summer 2021. She also spent her summer 2020 in a tech company manufacturing supercomputers. In Summer 2019 she has worked in the Performance and Algorithms Research group in Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBL). She has received several awards and grants starting from her undergraduate studies to attend several research conferences and workshops funded by NSF and other generous sponsors.
