Sam Partee is a Machine Learning Engineer at Hewlett Packard Enterprise on the HPC AI team. Mr. Partee leads the research for the use of HPC Simulation and Machine Learning at scale. He helped initiate this research while at Cray under their Innovation Lab program. This research led to the open-source framework SmartSim. Mr. Partee’s recent research collaboration with NCAR helped produce the first climate-scale, numerical ocean simulations improved through distributed, online inference of Deep Neural Networks. Mr. Partee has presented his research findings at NeurIPS, GFDL, RedisConf, PyTorch Ecosystem Day, and Pangeo.

Mr. Partee received a B.S. in computer science from Haverford College.
