Biography
Dr. Leong started his career in 2009 as a HPC Application Engineer at the Nanyang Technological University High Performance Computing Center. He transitioned into a HPC System Engineer in 2013, and became determined to follow that career path since then.

Dr. Leong has worked for different organizations throughout his career, including system engineer at Globalfoundries, HPC consultant and technical support engineer at IBM, and system engineer at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign's National Centre for Supercomputing Applications, administering Blue Waters Supercomputer. Mostly based in Singapore, he has also travelled to different countries, including Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, India to deliver professional services. He is currently a system engineer at DDN Australia.

Dr. Leong has mastered a good amount of knowledge and experience in different HPC system software, including but not limited to parallel file system, workload scheduler etc. He has a degree in Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering and Doctorate of Philosophy in Physics.
