Biography
Siddhartha Jana (Sid) is a research scientist at Intel Corporation. He is also a co-lead within the community-wide Energy Efficient HPC Working Group (https://eehpcwg.llnl.gov/) - an 800+ member consortium of global scientists and engineers focused on energy/power R&D. He holds a doctorate from the University of Houston. His research interests in large-scale computing span HPC programming models, compiler design, runtime systems, and computer networking libraries. At Intel, his research projects are driven towards leveraging hardware features to explore energy efficiency within the software stack (includes the GEOPM effort). As part of his past HPC R&D, he has collaborated with organizations across academia, government, and the industry. Sid has been actively contributing to program committees of conferences, peer-review of publications, and driving the HPC PowerStack consortium (https://hpcpowerstack.github.io/), a community-wide effort with a charter to design and standardize solutions for system-wide power efficiency targeting large-scale machines.
