Paul Mullowney
Biography
Paul Mullowney received his PhD degree in Applied Mathematics from the University of Colorado, Boulder in 2004. His postdoctoral work focused on computational methods of inverse problems in neuroinformatics, which was done at the University of Canterbury in Christchurch, New Zealand. Since then, he has held several positions in industry where the work concentrated mostly on High Performance, GPU and embedded computing applied to computational sparse linear algebra, electromagnetics, and computer vision. Since joining NREL in 2020, his work has focused on GPU acceleration of sparse linear algebra algorithms for the Exawind project.
