Dr. Jerrell (Jerry) Ballard is the Associate Director of Software Applications for the Department of Defense High Performance Computing Modernization Program (HPCMP). Dr. Ballard is responsible for developing objectives and priorities in the long-term investment portfolio of software development, deployment, training, and maintenance in response to the requirements of the DoD HPC community. Prior to joining the HPCMP in February 2021, Dr. Ballard served as Division Chief of the Computational Science and Engineering Division (CSED), Information Technology Laboratory, US Army Engineer Research and Development Center, located in Vicksburg, MS.
