Biography
Hiroshi Koyama, Ph.D. in Astronomy from the University of Tokyo in 2000 is now a Research Administrator in RIKEN Center for Biosystems Dynamics Research Japan. He was the project manager of the special purpose computer MDGRAPE-4A development from 2017-2020. From 2015 to 2017, he also worked on the supercomputer `Fugaku’ Project as a researcher for the Office for the Promotion of Computing Science, MEXT (Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology). Before that, he worked in numerical studies at NAOJ, University of Notre Dame, Nihon University, University of Kobe, University of Maryland, RIKEN, and NIMS.

High-performance computing and numerical analysis are his fields of expertise: compressible/incompressible fluids, molecular dynamics, density functional theory calculations, multigrid method, FFT, etc.

He is a member of SIAM (Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics) and Astronomical Society of Japan.
