Jon McCullough

Biography
After completing his PhD in Mechanical Engineering at The University of Queensland, Dr Jon McCullough joined the Centre for Computational Science at University College London in 2019 as a Post-Doctoral Research Associate. In this role, he is focussed on preparing the HemeLB blood flow simulation code for full human-scale simulations of arterial and venous vasculatures. This requires tackling several HPC challenges such as code optimization for large-scale performance, geometry generation and data management. His broader research interests concentrate on the use of the lattice Boltzmann method to simulate complex fluid behaviour such as particle suspensions, thermofluids and biological flows.
