Biography
Erin L. Crowgey, PhD, is the Director of Medical Bioinformatics at Nemours Alfred I duPont Hospital for Children and the Director of Management Information System (MIS) for the Delaware ACCEL program. Her primary expertise is in molecular biology and bioinformatics. Currently she works on multiple genomic projects, including rare disorders and Sars-CoV-2, with the goal of implementing a learning healthcare system which will enhance precision medicine efforts. Dr. Crowgey works extensively with members of the Children Oncology Group (COG) on studying the genomic landscape of pediatric leukemias and is developing a next generation sequencing assay for tracking residual disease. With her clinical collaborators across the country, she is working on establishing comprehensive computational pipelines that will enable the use of ‘omics’ data in clinical research projects, with the ultimate goal of applying these methods in real-time at the bedside. Her multi-disciplinary team is implementing a pediatric genomics laboratory at Nemours.
