Peter Thoman

Biography
Peter Thoman is an Assistant Professor at the University of Innsbruck, Austria, where he also obtained his PhD. He is one of the original developers and designers of the Insieme C/C++ research compiler and parallel runtime system, and was involved in multiple international research projects in this capacity. In particular, he led the core technical work package in the Horizon 2020 AllScale project, and is currently spearheading efforts for Innsbruck in the Celerity and INPACT projects. Peter’s research interests include fine-grained task parallelism, compiler-supported optimizations, accelerator computing, and API design for parallelism.
