Biography
Mr. Frank Witzeman serves as the Associate Director (AD) for Centers for the DoD High Performance Computing Modernization Program (HPCMP). He is responsible for the operations of four DoD Supercomputing Resource Centers (DSRCs): Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) at Wright Patterson AFB; Army Research Laboratory (ARL) at Aberdeen Proving Grounds MD; Army Engineering Research and Development Center (ERDC) at Vicksburg MS; Naval Oceanography and Meteorology Command (Navy) at Stennis Space Center MS. The DSRCs maintain facilities and infrastructure hosting over 20 moderate to large HPC systems for the HPCMP. With over 38 years of experience in industry and federal government, Mr. Witzeman has served in a variety of technical, management, and leadership roles, many related to high performance computing technologies. He holds a master of science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Akron and a bachelor of science degree in aerospace engineering from the Pennsylvania State University.
