Dr. Markus Geimer is a senior researcher at the Jülich Supercomputing Centre (JSC) of Forschungszentrum Jülich GmbH, Germany. After receiving his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Koblenz-Landau (Germany) in 2005, he joined JSC beginning of 2006. Since then he has been the lead developer of the parallel trace analysis component of the Scalasca Trace Tools and is involved in many training activities related to parallel performance analysis tools. Since 2012, Markus Geimer has been the deputy team leader of the group "Programming Environments and Performance Analysis" at JSC. Besides his research interest in parallel performance analysis tools, Markus Geimer is also an active user of and contributor to the EasyBuild software build and installation framework.
