Biography
Giorgis Georgakoudis is a Post-doctoral Researcher at the Center for Applied Scientific Computing (CASC) of the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (USA) . He has obtained the Dipl. Eng. (2007), MEng. (2010) and PhD (2017) degrees from the
Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in University of Thessaly (Greece). Giorgis has extensive research experience working in several projects funded among others by EPSRC (UK) and H2020 (EU) before joining lately the ECP project (US). He has worked in affiliation or collaboration with leading research institutions, including CERTH and FORTH (Greece) and ECIT at Queen's University Belfast (UK). Also, Giorgis has authored several papers in refereed
conferences and journals, and serves regularly as a reviewer in a few of them. His latest research interests are in fault tolerance and network simulation for large-scale HPC systems. He is also a member of ACM and IEEE professional societies.
