Andreas Reiserer
Biography
Andreas Reiserer did his PhD at the Max-Planck-Institute of Quantum Optics in Garching, Germany, where he investigated novel light-matter interaction mechanisms using atoms trapped in optical resonators. His work was recognized by the Otto-Hahn-Award for outstanding PhD research by the Max-Planck-Society. He then joined QuTech and the Kavli Institute of Nanoscience at TU Delft, the Netherlands, as a postdoctoral researcher on quantum networks with defect centers in diamond. Since 2016, he has been leading the “Quantum Networks Group” at the Max-Planck-Institute of Quantum Optics in Garching, Germany, where he has pioneered erbium-doped silicon as a novel hardware platform for quantum networks.
