Biography
Anda Trifan is a DOE Computational Science Graduate Fellow in the Theoretical and Computational Biophysics Group at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign in Dr. Emad Tajkhorshid’s group. She has been concurrently working with Argonne National Laboratory since January 2020 and currently serves as a Research Assistant in Dr. Arvind Ramanathan’s group. She is interested in using machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques to study complex biophysical phenomena. Their contributions to COVID-19 research were awarded the 2020 ACM Gordon Bell Special Prize for High Performance Computing-Based COVID-19 Research, as well as the Secretary of Energy Honor Award.
