Salvatore Cielo

Biography
Salvatore Cielo got his Ph.D. in 2015 at the Max Planck Institute for Astronomy; then spent three years as researcher in computational astrophysics.
Since 2018, Salvatore is at the Leibniz Supercomputing Centre (LRZ) in Garching by Munich (Germany), working as a High Performance Computing expert, supporting astrophysical researchers from the Computational X Support and AstroLab divisions.
His work focuses mainly in projects of computational science on HPC systems, including high-level support, scientific visualizations, code development and modernization targeting the most recent HPC hardware.
