Biography
I am fourth year Ph.D. student in Computer Science at the University of Oregon. I am passionate about research in High-Performance Computing (HPC) and more generally, distributed systems. Within the broad field of HPC, I am interested in performance engineering and performance modeling of large-scale distributed applications. I would like to perform research that helps answer the following questions:

1. How to gather the meaning of "performance" in various distributed systems?

2. How to design intelligent distributed run-times and performance analysis frameworks? I am interested in the application of state-of-the-art statistical data-analysis tools to this problem.

3. How do we model and optimize application performance under constraints?

In my free time, I enjoy cooking, traveling, playing tennis, and playing the guitar.
