Cody Balos is a computer scientist in the Applications, Simulations, & Qualitity Division at LLNL. He joined LLNL in June 2018 and currently works at the Center for Applied Scientific Computing (CASC). His work focuses on the development of scalable algorithms and scientific software for extreme-scale computing. As part of the Exascale Computing Project, Cody contributes to the SUNDIALS suite of time integrators and nonlinear solvers as well as the Extreme-scale Scientific Software Development Kit (xSDK). Before joining LLNL, Cody worked on enterprise web applications for a healthcare company for three years. He earned a B.S. in Computer Engineering in 2018 from University of the Pacific where he worked with Vivek Pallipuram on mapping scientific applications to cloud computing resources.
