Luke Wilson

Biography
Luke Wilson is a Distinguished Engineer in Dell’s Chief Technology and Innovation Office, where he focuses on next-generation software and software ecosystems for high performance computing (HPC) and artificial intelligence (AI). Luke is also the Chief Architect of Omnia, a Dell Technologies-led open-source project to bring modern automation practices to the deployment of composable software solutions for high performance clusters.
Prior to joining the CTIO at Dell, Luke was Chief Data Scientist in Dell’s HPC & AI Innovation Lab, where he focused on scalable and high performance deep learning training and inference. Before that Luke spend twelve years that the Texas Advanced Computing Center, where he participated in the construction and operation of several of the most powerful supercomputers in the world for open research. Luke’s research background is in parallel and distributed metaheuristics including artificial neural networks, genetic algorithms, artificial immune systems, and self-organizing systems.
