Biography
Vinicius Petrucci is an Assistant Teaching Professor at University of Pittsburgh and (on leave) Tenured Assistant Professor at UFBA. He has a PhD in Computer Science from the Fluminense Federal University, Niterói, Rio de Janeiro. His primary research interests concentrate on computer systems with emphasis on improving resource efficiency while delivering real-time performance guarantees. He has focused on understanding the tradeoffs of energy (e.g. save energy by running a bit slower) and performance (e.g. meeting user expectations) and exploring this knowledge to design better dynamic resource management approaches.
