A Diverse Students@SC Committee Brings Robust Programming to SC21

The incredible body of volunteers led by SC21 Students@SC Chair Jay Lofstead encompasses 85 committee members! Students@SC has selected 164 students to participate across a variety of programs both in-person and remotely. Representing 22 countries, this diverse and international group will benefit from 40 mentors and 46 speakers that will share their time and knowledge. Watch the video for more metrics!

Interview Skills & Résumé Help

  • Meet Emily Belli to review your résumé and practice your interview skills. She will be available three times a day starting Monday morning through Thursday morning.
  • Meet mentors during the Speed Mentoring session on Tuesday from 3-5 pm CST in Room 100-101.
  • Learn all about presentation and communications skills on Monday from 11:15 am–1:15pm CST, and then practice those skills during Lightening Talks open to students but all are encouraged to view!

At SC, we’re eager to reach out to the next generation of high performance computing (HPC) professionals! We’ve gathered resources to help students understand the possibilities in the field of HPC, and also to help teachers explain and explore HPC in their classrooms.


Christine Baissac-Hayden, SC21 Students@SC Communications Liaison

Christine Baissac-Hayden created Easy English 4 All, which provides multilingual communication tools for clients from diverse backgrounds in the renewable energy, medical, defense, marine science, and film industries. Easy English 4 All provides English as a Second Language (ESL), French, Spanish and Japanese tutoring from certified native-speaking teachers and organizes international student exchanges with personalized objectives and goals.
